2014 Proof Gold Sovereign 5 Coin Set Boxed

This 2014 Proof 5 Coin Gold Sovereign Set features a Quintuple Sovereign (five-pound coin), Double Sovereign (two-pound coin), Sovereign, Half Sovereign and a Quarter Sovereign. These proofs have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own Certificate of Authenticity.

Five coin proof Sovereign sets contain all five coins in the Sovereign family – £5 coin, £2 coin, Sovereign, Half Sovereign and Quarter Sovereign. The Quarter Sovereign was introduced by The Royal Mint in 2009, at which point the Mint began producing these five-coin sets in addition to the traditional four coin sets used previously.
