The coin itself is produced by Perth Mint, who are well known for producing some of the best looking coins in the world. As the name suggests, it contains 1/4oz of pure 999.9 fine gold.
This year the reverse design by Neil Hollis features a Kangaroo and Joey jumping across an outback bush scene.
