The US Mint is legally obligated under the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985 to issue the bullion version of the Gold Eagle annually to match the demand of investors. All Gold Eagles are produced by the West Point Mint facility, though you will find no mint marks on the bullion version of the coin.
